Occupy Medical has put out a call for volunteer dentists to donate hours at free clinics held from noon to 4 p.m. every Sunday afternoon in the Eugene, Oregon area.
Occupy Medical is a volunteer group that provides free health care to those in need. Dental care at the Eugene clinic would be delivered every three to four months.
The clinics are held at the park blocks in downtown Eugene and, in addition to free health care, there is a hospitality tent, free haircuts, mental health counseling, a station for wound care, and an herbal supplement and treatment dispensary.
The organization has access to a dental van from Salem that is fully stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
Any dentistry professionals belonging to the Lane Dental Society who are interested in getting involved in Occupy Medical’s new dental care program by donating four hours in the van on an occasional Sunday afternoon are asked to contact Dr. Willy Foster at 707-486-1665 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
