The Nassau County Dental Society (NCDS) has issued a call for nominations for the 2016 Humanitarian Award.
The award is given in recognition of a member dentist who demonstrates a selfless, lasting impact on the oral health care community while providing that care for their fellow human beings. According to the NCDS, one of the foundations of the dental profession is humanitarian activity.
The NCDS acknowledges its most unselfish members, who donate their time and skills as a professional in a way that will encourage others to pursue similar activities, as well as representing the dental profession in a positive way.
When a qualified candidate is selected by the Committee on Awards and has gained the approval of the NCDS board of directors, he or she is honored at the Installation of Officers’ Gala, where the award is presented.
