The American Dental Association (ADA) recently released a statement about interdental cleaners and the benefits of their use.
This came after the benefits of dental floss were questioned by a story on the news.
"To maintain good oral health, the American Dental Association recommends brushing for two minutes, twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste, cleaning between teeth once a day with an interdental cleaner and regular dental visits advised by your dentist," the ADA said in the statement.
It went on to add that interdental cleaners, with the inclusion of floss, "are an essential part of taking care of your teeth and gums."
