Made up of their peers to help recognize developing demand trends in the health workforce, those who join the network are dubbed “Sentinels.”
Through the network, they can:
**Help ensure the state’s health workforce is prepared to respond to a transforming health care environment;
**Gain access to current and actionable information on emerging health workforce needs; and
**Compare their organization’s experiences and emerging workforce needs with similar employer groups.
Crucial health care programs could be expanded, and targeted training can be added from professionals in the health care field who will share access to required skills with the “on-the-ground” gathering of data and immediate feedback.
Three times a year, Sentinels will be asked to take a survey that lasts between 10 and 20 minutes. The results of the surveys will then be posted online so the regional trends can be seen.
